Draw native text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns and radio buttons onto PDF pages. Give controls names and options, then export a PDF others can fill.

Updated . Tested step by step on this tool.

How to use Create Fillable PDF Form

  1. Choose the PDF that needs controls. The workspace opens in Create fields mode.
  2. Choose the New field type, select Add field, then click or drag on the page to place it.
  3. Use Properties to give the field a name, resize it and mark it required. Dropdowns and radio buttons also need options.
  4. For a radio group, use the same field name for each radio button and make the first option on each button its distinct choice. Other fields need unique names.
  5. Switch to Fill & Sign to test values. Save and download with flatten turned off to keep the fields interactive.

Before you export

Fields use native AcroForm controls. Required flags are exported for readers that enforce them. This tool does not author XFA forms.

The document stays in memory for this browser session. Export a copy before closing or reloading the tab. Undo history is not saved in the PDF; added objects are saved for reopening unless flattened.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep working without uploading the PDF again?

Yes. The workspace keeps one document open across its modes for this browser session. Exported results also offer Continue with this PDF to hand the file to another tool.

Can I undo a change?

Undo and redo include added items, text changes, movement, resizing, removal, form values and page changes. Keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z work when a text input is not focused.

Will edits be here after I close the tab?

The browser session ends when you close or reload the tab. Save and download your edited PDF first. Added items and review markup can be edited again when you reopen that exported copy here, unless you flattened it.
